The Center for Girls was founded on April 15, 1998, on the initiative of two volunteers of SOS Helpline for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The aim of its foundation was to improve the social position of young women through their education and emancipation.
THE MISSION of the Center for Girls is girls' and young women's empowerment through education, activism and creativity.
After a few texts taken from the play "I am an Emotional Creature" by Eve Ensler had been premièred on Super Radio, we started preparing a theatre performance, which will take place at the chamber scene of the Student Cultural Center on June 22nd at 20:00.
On Monday, April 25, a cocktail party was organized at ART 55 Gallery for our associates to mark 18 years of the Center for Girls' work. We used this occasion to thank everyone who did us the honour to attend the party.
On March 31, 2016, the activists of the Center for Girls read a play by Eve Ensler, entitled "I Am an Emotional Creature", on Super Radio. "These monologues are not interviews. Each monologue is a literary text inspired by travelling the world, by witnessing events, by listening to real and imagined conversations.
