The Center for Girls was founded on April 15, 1998, on the initiative of two volunteers of SOS Helpline for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The aim of its foundation was to improve the social position of young women through their education and emancipation.
THE MISSION of the Center for Girls is girls' and young women's empowerment through education, activism and creativity.
On December 25, the Center for Girls organized Human Party 2 in the Scene Club in Niš. The ticket to the party was a New Year's present for migrant children in Preševo.
In order to mark December 18, the International Migrants' Day, 35 activists, members of the ANTI-TRAFFICKING (AT) NETWORK organized a street action in Dimitrovgrad, spreading a message PEOPLE, NOT BORDERS!!!
This year, the Center for Girls has, within 16 Days of Activism, organized actions named TOGETHER AGAINST VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN/GIRLS in collaboration with the Committee on Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities, Super Radio, Leskovac Cultural Center, and Media and Reform Center.
