The Center for Girls was founded on April 15, 1998, on the initiative of two volunteers of SOS Helpline for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The aim of its foundation was to improve the social position of young women through their education and emancipation.
THE MISSION of the Center for Girls is to empower children, girls and women through support, education, activism and creativity.
There were 12 female artists from different parts of Serbia, from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia at the 4th Feminist Art Colony. In the organization of the Center for Girls, the colony was held in Sicevo – the place where a famous art colony was founded 113 years ago by a painter Nadezda Petrovic.

During four days in Lukovska Banja, 16 girls from Uzice, Prijepolje, Vlasotince, and Nis, increased their knowledge about violence against girls through creative ways of learning and acquired the skill of acting in performances with the elements of the forum theater.
