Since 2013, we have organized the Women's Health Week every last week of May.
Women's Health Week is organized in order to mark May 28, the International Day of Action for Women's Health and Reproductive Rights. During this week, we want to remind all women that their health and health care are extremely important, considering the fact that women, unfortunately, do not take enough care of their health or when they start to, it might be too late.
First Women's Health Week was organized from May 25 to May 31, 2013. The Center for Girls organized 7 events – Taking Care about Oneself, Tatjana Nikolić; Hatha Yoga, Ana Stefanović; How to Handle Stress, Maja Delibašić; Girls' Reproductive Rights, Simona Dašić; Homoeopathy, Snežana Vučić; Healthy Eating, Sonja Jović; Shanti/Anti-stress, Dragana Mitrović.
In 2014, the issue of women's health was addressed through seven events that were held by yoga and pilates trainers, gynaecologists and psychologists. For this occasion, the activists of the Center for Girls staged The Waiting Room, a new performance based on the text by Jasmina Tešanović.
2014 Women's Health Week, as well as the performance of The Waiting Room, were dedicated to Violeta St. Zinovijev, our old friend and long-time activist.
In the last week of May 2015, from May 25 to May 30, the activists of the Center for Girls organized third Women's Health Week. Two workshops, one lecture, one panel discussion, one street action and two public classes were organized during this week.
