The Center for Girls was founded on April 15, 1998, on the initiative of two volunteers of SOS Helpline for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The aim of its foundation was to improve the social position of young women through their education and emancipation.
THE MISSION of the Center for Girls is to empower children, girls and women through support, education, activism and creativity.
Eleven girls passed a set of the first four empowering self-defense workshops, organized by the Center for Girls as part of the project "Safe".
Eleven girls participated in an empowering self-defense workshop, which was held as part of 16 days of activism and the global campaign One Billion Rising 2023: Rise for Freedom. The workshop was held outdoors, in the pleasant surroundings of the Fortress.
