In order to mark the European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, the activists of the Center for Girls organized a street action. On Saturday, January 23, ten activists carried banners to remind passers-by that this type of cancer may be prevented and cured.

Following the street action which was seen by around hundred people, a lecture on the ways of preventing cervical cancer and of permanently curing the illness in case it occurred, was held in the premises of the Center for Girls. The lecture was delivered by Simona Dašić, a gynaecologist, and 10 girls and young women attended it.

Within the European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, the Center for Girls and Simona Dašić, a gynaecologist, organized a lecture on the same subject in the Fashion and Beauty High School. 26 high-school girls attended the lecture. Another lecture on the same subject will be held in the Law and Administration High School after the holidays.

The European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week is observed each year in the third week of January.
