On Saturday, June 18, 2016, the activists of the Center for Girls organized a street action in support of Polish women, whose freedom and rights are threatened to be violated by their government.
Women in Poland are legally allowed to terminate pregnancy only when their lives are at risk, foetus is damaged or pregnancy is a consequence of a rape. The Catholic Church now suggests, and the government supports its suggestion that the abortion is totally banned, even in any of the three aforementioned cases.
The activists of the Center for Girls expressed their protest and sent clear messages on the banners: "Solidarity with Polish Women", "We Demand That Abortion Stays Legal, Legal Abortion Has to Be Women's Right", which were approved by passers-by.
On Saturday, June 18, women also protested in the streets of Warsaw, as well as in other cities in Poland, in order to preserve their rights.
