In cooperation with the Institut Française, the activists of the Center for Girls organized a panel discussion and a concert against gender-based violence at ART55 Gallery on December 6, 2016.

The panelists were:

  • Dragana Miljević Miljković, a social worker from the Safe House of the United Women Foundation, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • Doroti Pačkova, a founder of the single mothers' association One Can, Skopje, Macedonia;
  • Slavica Stanojlović, an activist of Peščanik Women Association, Kruševac;
  • Ivana Milovanović, a judge at the Basic Court in Niš, and
  • Tatjana Nikolić, a founder and executive coordinator of the Center for Girls, Niš.

The panel discussion was moderated by Silvija Mihajlović. The panelists talked about the problem of gender-based violence from their own experience and sent an important message to women victims of violence.

After the panel, Srđan Đorđević (piano) and Irena Milovanović (soprano) performed compositions by Nadia Boulanger, a 20th century French composer, who was among the first women to sign her work with her own name, instead of with initials or a pseudonym.

The panel discussion and the concert, which were held within 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign, were attended by 23 people.
