The Center for Girls was founded on April 15, 1998, on the initiative of two volunteers of SOS Helpline for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The aim of its foundation was to improve the social position of young women through their education and emancipation.
THE MISSION of the Center for Girls is to empower children, girls and women through support, education, activism and creativity.
Over 2,000 citizens saw a street action about the unpaid domestic work of the Center for Girls. In total, 400 leaflets were distributed to citizens with information on what unpaid domestic work is, why it should be recognized and paid, and what its value would be if it were paid.
The Center for Girls marked the European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.
New Year's gift packages were distributed to the users of the Children's Daycare Center.
