Center for Girls signed a contract with UN WOMEN on the occasion of the approved project called "SAFE - Empowered girls and women to feel safer in public spaces in Niš" within the grant scheme "Support to Local Initiatives to Prevent and Improve Response to VAWG in Public Spaces".

In the next nine months, Center for Girls will carry out activities aimed at examining the safety of women and girls in public spaces in Niš, mapping unsafe locations, educating and empowering women and girls to defend themselves against all forms of violence, but also to gain self-confidence and verbal and non-verbal communication skills in order to protect themselves against violence in public spaces, as well as informing the public and institutions about the problem of violence against women in public spaces, and proposing solutions to improve the safety of women in Niš.
