Working with Youth on the Prevention of Human Trafficking and Intimate Partner Violence
In the previous period, the Center for Girls organized four lectures in four high schools in Niš on the topic of human trafficking prevention, attended by 89 young people, including both female and male high school students. Additionally, one lecture on online and offline violence was held for 27 female students at a high school in Babušnica.
The goal of the lectures on human trafficking prevention was to bring the concept of human trafficking closer to high school students, inform them about the risks, forms of exploitation, and ways of prevention, as well as where they can seek help in risky situations. During the lecture on online and offline violence, the students had the opportunity to learn what gender-based violence is and how to recognize it, especially in partner relationships.
The lectures were held at:
– The School of Economics
– The School of Fashion and Beauty
– The Traffic and Technical School “12. februar”
– The School of Trade
– The Secondary School “Vuk Karadžić with Student Dormitory”, Babušnica
The lectures were delivered by Tatjana Nikolić and were also attended by several teachers.
