PROJECT „SAFE“ – MEETINGS WITH CITY MUNICIPALITIES’ REPRESENTATIVES

The representatives of the Center for Girls met with the representatives of three city municipalities – Pantelej, Crveni Krst and Medijana. On that occasion, they presented Empowering self-defense workshops and presented the results of research on the safety of girls and women in public places in Niš, as well as recommendations for measures to increase security, formed on the basis of the research.

Through an open dialogue, the representatives of the municipalities expressed their desire to listen to the proposals of their fellow citizens and presented their proposals for solving the issue of girls/women’s safety in public places in Niš.

The meetings were conducted within the project „SAFE: Empowering girls and women to feel safer in public places in Nis“. The project is supported by UN Women.
