CONFERENCE – Violence against women and femicide as its most drastic form

The Center for Girls held the 9th consecutive conference on the problem of violence against girls, women and women – “Violence against women and femicide as its most drastic form”.

The following spoke at the conference: Vida Vilić – research associate and criminologist, Ivana Milovanović – judge of the High Court, Ana Saćipović – director of the Roma Association Osvit, Lucija Hristov Mitić – specialist in general medicine and coordinator of the team to help women with experience of violence, Maja Delibašić – psychologist, psychotherapist, certified transactional analyst and Marija Virijević – program coordinator of the Center for Girls.

Each of the speakers talked about violence against women in their area, what are the obstacles and challenges, about the practices and protocols that are implemented and how it is prevented. Special emphasis was placed on femicide as the most serious form of violence against girls, women and women and why it needs to be recognized as a special crime.
