Workshops on Human Trafficking in Niš High Schools
Six workshops on the prevention of human trafficking were held with 62 students (35 girls, 27 boys) from the Commercial School “Mija Stanimirović” Electrical and Trade School, and the “12. februar” Traffic and Technical School.
At the workshops, high school students had the opportunity to learn about what human trafficking is, the different forms it takes, who can be a trafficker and who can become a victim, how to protect themselves, recognize human trafficking, and report it.
Here are some of their experiences from the workshops, recorded in the evaluation:
It raised my awareness about this issue, and I will be more cautious about certain things in the future.
I liked everything, especially because we talked about important topics that aren’t discussed enough.
I liked it, they drew our attention to the fact that we should be more careful and pay more attention to whom we trust.
They explained the topic in an interesting way. I learned that smuggling is not human trafficking. It was excellent, the guys explained everything well.
The workshops were supported by OAK and the Trag Foundation.
