Carefree and Safe – Workshops with users of Children’s Daycare Center

We held workshops on the topic of violence with the users of the Day Center for Children. We talked with the children about what violence is and what it looks like, how to recognize it, how adults can do it, and how their peers can do it, as well as how and to whom to report it if it happens to them or someone else.

In the workshops, we used simple tools and work methods, such as the visual tool Đumbirko/a (Ginggerbread Person), talking with children and answering their questions and learning through verbal and motor exercises for setting boundaries.

The workshops are conducted as part of the Center’s project “Carefree and safe – Let’s prevent violence against children who live and work/beg on the street and/or live in poverty in Niš”. The project was supported by the European Commission through DAPHNE (EuroChild).
