Day of Remembrance for Women Victims of Violence – Performance “Women’s Cemetery”

Activists of the Center for Girls performed “Women’s Cemetery” on the occasion of May 18, the Day of Remembrance of Women Victims of Violence. It’s been celebrated since 2017, in memory of 7 women killed over three days in May 2015.

At least 8 women in Serbia have been killed in domestic/partner violence by their sons or current/former partners, since the beginning of 2025. Given that official records of femicide still do not exist, we appeal to the competent institutions to establish systematic monitoring and recording.

The performance was seen by over 1,500 people.
