Street Action on Forced Begging

Over 2,000 people saw a street action on forced begging, performed by activists from the Center for Girls. The banner “Forced begging is human trafficking” attracted the attention of passers-by, to whom we also distributed informative leaflets about human trafficking, its forms and what forced begging is.

Several people came to ask what it was about, so we talked with them about the difference between voluntary and forced begging, and several fellow citizens had negative comments, colored by prejudices against the Roma population.
